Riesling Ried Gaisberg 2024
Thanks to its slightly milder microclimate, the Gaisberg has historically been one of the most significant Riesling vineyards in the Kamptal region. The soil here is comprised of a diverse array of metamorphic and crystalline rocks. Our vines grow on two terraces, on gneiss with occasional pockets of granite and marble, covered by a thin layer of loess at the foot of the hill. The Rieslings produced on this slope are known for their concentrated fruit flavors and a rich, warm minerality.
[1.ÖTW = Classified Vineyard, Erste Lage (Premier Cru)] [Ried = Austrian Term for single vineyard, same meaning as “Lage”]

Vinification
The grapes were selectively hand-harvested in late September, destemmed, and lightly crushed. After several hours of maceration, they were gently pressed at low pressure. Partial whole-bunch pressing. Fermented in stainless-steel tank, followed by several months of aging on the lees. Bottled at high atmospheric pressure during the waxing moon in July 2025. 100% artisanal.
