Grüner Veltliner Langenloiser Tonmineral 2023
Every place where wine is grown is unique in terms of location, geology, and wine culture. Our village wine (Ortswein) tradition is centuries old and the wines reflect this geological, microclimatic and cultural spectrum. This wine comes from the historic sites of Langenlois, the center of the Kamptal and our home. Here, the Grüner Veltliner grapes mainly grow on loess and clay soils composed of varying combinations of clay minerals, limestone, dolomite, feldspar, quartz, and mica. A soil formation that extends from the southeast of the city to the high plateau in the west. This elegant Veltliner, bottled after six months of lees aging, is characterized by pithy fruit and spicy minerality. It unmistakably reflects its origin and the palate of the people living here.
