Cloudy Blanc 2023
A blend of grape varieties that has existed for over a century. In our Cloudy Blanc, we combine Grüner Veltliner and Riesling to create a nimble, delicately fruity all-rounder with a dense mouthfeel and good grip. The grapes come from the historic terraced vineyards around Langenlois and grow on mineral-rich loess soils and sparse bedrock. The berries are gently crushed and macerated together for over 20 hours in the press before being pressed. After fermenting in stainless steel tanks, the wine remains on the lees until bottling and is then bottled unfiltered with the fine lees still in suspension.

The grapes were selectively harvested by hand in late September. Destemmed, slightly crushed and macerated for 20 hours. Gently pressed with low pressure. Fermented in stainless-steel and matured on the lees for 6 months. Bottled unfiltered at high atmospheric pressure during the waxing moon in April 2024. 100% artisanal.
Wine description
Expressive nose, smells of lemon balm, limes, along with pink grapefruits and oranges, delicately surrounded by yeast, subtle herbal spiciness and some juniper in the background; on the palate, a rather juicy entry, again grapefruit, fresh acidity, grips the tongue with a fine grip, long-lasting and firm, finishes with citrus fruit notes.
