Cloudy Rosé 2022
For this unusual Rosé, we macerated Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, St. Laurent and S*****vese grapes in the press for a few hours and then pressed them off with high pressure. Due to the high pressure a greater proportion of the skin tannins finds its way into the falvourful juice, resulting in a pleasantly grippy mouthfeel. After fermentation in our used Sangiovese barrels, the wine was bottled unfiltered, with the full lees. This is an exciting wine that showcases a different side of Kamptal Rosé.

Vinification
The grapes have been selectivly harvested by hand end of September 2022. They were slightly crushed and macerated for some hours before we pressed them off with high pressure. Fermented in small oak barrel (used). Spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Matured on the lees for several months. Bottled unfiltered at high atmospheric pressure during the waxing moon in March 2023.
Wine description
Strawberry ice cream, blood orange, a little bit of yellow cherry, coconut, a whiff of smokiness in the background; the red berry fruit repeats on the palate, cranberries, strawberries, an almost creamy texture, juicy, elegant & grippy tannins, light-footed, good aging potential.
