Cloudy Rosé 2023
For this unusual Rosé, we macerated Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, St. Laurent and S*****vese grapes in the press for a few hours and then pressed them off with high pressure. Due to the high pressure a greater proportion of the skin tannins finds its way into the falvourful juice, resulting in a pleasantly grippy mouthfeel. After fermentation in our used Sangiovese barrels, the wine is bottled unfiltered, with the fine lees. This is an exciting wine that showcases a different side of Kamptal Rosé.

Vinification
The grapes have been selectivly harvested by hand in mid-September 2023. Destemmed, slightly crushed and macerated for several hours before we pressed them off with high pressure. Fermented in small oak barrels, previously used several times for Sangiovese. Aged on the lees for several months. Bottled unfiltered at high atmospheric pressure during the waxing moon in March 2024.
Wine description
Strawberries, blood orange, a little bit of yellow cherry, coconut cream, a whiff of white flowers in the background; the red berry fruit repeats on the palate, cranberries, strawberries, an almost creamy texture, juicy, elegant & grippy tannins, light-footed, good aging potential.
