Beerenauslese Weissburgunder 2013
The term (Prädikat) Beerenauslese refers to naturally sweet wines made from overripe berries who are infested by Botrytis (noble rot). We only produce these wines in very small quantities and only in years with suitable weather conditions. We pass through the vineyard several times and leave only the Botrytis-grapes on the vine. These grapes are harvested long after the main picking season has ended, They are then slowly pressed in a small press over several hours to extract the valuable juice. The concentrate we obtain is sweet, oily and dense and produces incredible wines that have an apparently endless life ahead of them.

Selective harvest by hand after various selections on the vine end of November. Slowly pressed off over several hours with low pressure. Fermentation in stainless-steel tank. Matured in tank for several months. Bottled at high atmospheric pressure during the waxing moon in December 2014.
Wine description
Yellow and tropical fruits, ripe pineapple, beautiful honey aromatic, orange zest coming through from the background, some stone-fruit; dense and complex on the palate, juicy with great acidic backbone, well integrated sweetness, again notes of honey, ripe apricots, endless finish!
